When it comes to food, my mind has a mind of its own. My usual day starts with me wondering, where can I get that soulful food that breathtaking ambience that delightful location.

To be honest, even though I am out and about, I often find myself day dreaming about some unique an delightful cuisine. Fortunately, I usually manage to locate the right spot to satisfy my cravings. However, I can’t help but wonder what would happen if I were a bird? I might wind up flying straight into a window while scanning the horizon for my next meal…

Eyes on the Food

“Experienced foodie with decades of experience in eating food, my journey with food started when I opened my eyes into this world (hahah).”

As a child growing up in the suburbs, I was always fascinated by my grandmother’s lemon pickle recipe, my nani’s okra, my grandfather’s unique sauce, my uncle’s tangy dal makhni, and my mum’s lack of cooking skills thereof. Food was a unifying force in my family. Whether it was around the large dining table or the bonfire or in the kitchen where my mum usually wound up washing dishes. It was an experience infused with love, presented with humility, savoured with care, and shared with others.

Wanting to spread this feeling of warmth, I decided to put on my bog girl pants, left my neighbourhood, hopped on a plane to another continent, just to share the many shades of the global cuisine with everyone.
